Description
The Saint in his episcopal robes kneeling with his arms outstretched in an ecstatic gesture; behind him a man holds out the saint's tongue, in a pair of tongs, to two dogs, which are leaping at it; in lower right corner a half-naked man pulling roughly the Saint's beard; beside him a third torturer, with a knife between his teeth, holds St Livin by the waist and shoulders; as a divine punishment, men in background destroyed by two angels throwing thunderbolts above on the left; two angels holding the martyr's crown and laurel palm above on the right; in left foreground a terrified soldier stretching out his arms towards the sky; wooded landscape in background
